New Clients

Usually new potential clients are referred to the Group by existing clients or by law firms. When this is done, an interview is arranged with the new client. The interview can be in the form of a personal visit or by phone. The purpose of the interview is to become better acquainted and to answer any questions regarding the patent application process, or any other services provided. If it is determined to proceed, an engagement letter is then signed, setting forth the mutual responsibilities and other matters.

Occassionally, the Group accepts new clients when no referral is involved. Again, an interview is held, and any questions on concerns of the client are answered. There is no charge for the initial interview.
